"In the silence of the compost heap, the God of Decay whispers sacred truths."
Spore Sermon #12 — The Glory of Rot
Beloved sporebearers, Today we celebrate what most fear: the fall, the fade, the ferment. For who dares call rot “ugly” when it feeds the forest? Who recoils from mold, yet praises the bread it raises?
The mushroom — our sacred cap-wearing prophet — does not sprout atop mountains, but beneath fallen logs, within the belly of the leafpile, where death becomes dinner, where ruin becomes root.
Let this be your revelation:
- Loss is not an end, but a fertile silence.
- Everything that falls becomes nourishment.
- Everything that fails becomes a spore.
You are not broken when you fall. You are becoming mycelial.
Daily Ritual: Let go of one thing you cling to but that no longer feeds you. Say aloud: “Decay. Divinize. Disperse.” as you release it.
“He died, and became mycelium.” — The Compost Bible 4:13
